NPD @ NWP 2020 Feature Special

Here’s just a selection of what our writers, teachers, teacher-writers and students got up to for National Poetry Day 2020

Answers to Life’s questions & THe Things I AM NOT

NWP Norwich (UEA) Writing Teachers used The Book of Why by Alec Daley as a prompt for their own questions on life’s mysteries and then turned the activity on its head by writing the answers. Using other poetry, families and other writing prompts as stimuli, the group share a range of poems written for National Poetry Day 2020.

IT’s spooky season… and pollution prevention week

With October upon us, Year 5 students in Norfolk took the opportunity and a picture prompt to conjure seasonal poems and used a topical school competition to write and win themselves their own oak tree. Trick or treat with a twist!
